lauren.napier finds solace in melody and the written word; she is often traveling with her feline, notebooks, and acoustic guitar, exploring her surroundings and sharing stories.

Joe Jack Talcum

Joe Jack Talcum is a songwriter and musician from the Philadelphia area. Joe has been recording goofy, offbeat and sometimes serious songs on analog cassette for the past 40 years. He co-founded the band The Dead Milkmen in the early 80s.

Make Like a Tree & Gréta Arnarsdóttir

Make Like a Tree is a Ukrainian electronic and ambient musician who I met at a show in Slovenia. In 2019, I released his album Mothernight through This & That Tapes, and I’m excited to release his 2023 collaboration with Iceland’s Gréta Arnarsdóttir, ÞOKA (Fog).

Sal Fratto

Sal’s got a knack for writing catchy, comforting folk pop songs in the 90’s-by-way-of-the-50’s tradition that I love so much. His first EP that we’re working on together, How Many Marlboro Miles Do I Have to Travel to Get a Mail-Away Jacket?, gives me immediate Joe Jack Talcum vibes, with a sensitivity reminiscent of Jeff Mangum and a voice that reminds me a little of what I like so much about They Might Be Giants.
